TBILISI, 22 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian automaker MAZ will sell $1 million worth of dump trucks to Georgia. The relevant contract was signed during a business forum in Tbilisi on 22 March, BelTA learned from MAZ Director General Dmitry Katerinich.
The MAZ CEO said: “During the forum we signed a dealership agreement. Apart from that, a contract for the delivery of 20 dump trucks worth over $1 million was signed.”
In his words, work is in progress on contracts on delivering fire-fighting equipment for the Georgian Emergencies Ministry. The sides are also discussing the possibility of selling passenger buses to Tbilisi. “We are taking part in a tender to sell diesel buses. Things like that need to be purchased via tenders. This is why we have agreed all the technical parameters of fire-fighting vehicles and passenger vehicles. We are going to participate in these tenders,” noted Dmitry Katerinich.
The executive specified that there are no plans to set up enterprises to assemble MAZ vehicles in Georgia for now.
