MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – Passenger vehicles made by MAZ are presented at the 10th international expo ElectroTrans 2021, which is scheduled to take place in Moscow on 12-14 May as part of the Russian Public Transport Week with assistance of the Russian Transport Ministry, the Industry and Trade Ministry, and the Energy Ministry, the press service of the Belarusian automobile engineering company MAZ told BelTA.

MAZ’s exposition features the electric bus MAZ 303E10 and the Gorozhanin trolleybus assembled by the Ufa tram and trolleybus plant on the basis of a second-generation MAZ trolleybus.

The external dimensions of the MAZ 303E10 bus are adapted to an urban environment. It is 12.43m long, 2.55m wide, and 3.3m high. It offers 30 seats and can carry 72 passengers. The electric bus has a low floor (320mm above the pavement). One of the doors is fitted with a retractable ramp for low-mobility passengers. The seats are fitted with USB ports to allow passengers to charge their smartphones on the go. The new bus is powered by a 300kW CeTrax electric motor from the German company ZF. The motor boasts low electricity consumption. The bus can travel for 280-320km thanks to batteries with the capacity of 412Ah (285kWh). It takes from 4 to 6 hours to charge the batteries.

On the whole, MAZ passenger vehicles represent a vivid example of introduction of cutting-edge R&D products into manufacturing and the development of modern technologies in the area of environmental protection and the enabling of comfortable operation of the models in urban and suburban conditions.

The ElectroTrans 2021 expo is an effective communication platform for specialists, who are interested in preservation and development of the urban electric transport network. In particular, it includes such sections as transport planning, urban transport environment, sanitation, security, urban and suburban railway transport, and other ones.
