MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Belarusian manufacturers are taking part in the seventh edition of UzTextileExpo Autumn running in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 18 to 20 October, BelTA learned from Belinterexpo at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event has brought together 183 companies from eight countries, including Belarus, Uzbekistan, India, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The Republic of Belarus is a regular participant in UzTextileExpo. This year, the Belarusian exposition features major exporters of the petrochemical industry, including such enterprises as Naftan, Mogilevkhimvolokno and SvetlogorsKhimvolokno. The companies are showcasing a wide range of products that are in demand among Uzbekistan and regional consumers.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich, Chairman of the Bellegprom Concern Tatiana Lugina, Deputy Chairman of the Uztextileprom Association Sanjar Tukhtayev visited the Belarusian pavilion on the opening day of the exhibition. The high-ranking guests lauded the quality of Belarusian products and expressed interest in the further development of cooperation with Belarus.
Every manufacturer offers products that draw visitors. Naftan is showcasing acrylic fibers, a durable material widely used in the textile industry. Mogilevkhimvolokno has put on view polyester fiber for the manufacture of fabrics, insulation, polyester polyester, non-woven fabrics, and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a high-strength plastic that is used in the production of containers. SvetlogorsKhimvolokno has brought high-strength nonwovens, polyester textile threads, knitted fabrics in various versions - painted, lacquered, bleached, piled, embossed and many others.
The participation of Belarusian companies in UzTextileExpo Autumn is an important step in cooperation with Uzbekistan and the global textile industry.
