Belarusian machines for building Chinese-Pakistani economic corridor

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Belarusian machines may come in handy for the construction of the Chinese-Pakistani economic corridor, BelTA learned from Pakistani Minister for Industries and Production Khan Jatoi on 14 April.

“Belarus-made trucks and construction machines may be needed since the construction of the Chinese-Pakistani corridor is in progress,” noted Khan Jatoi.

In his words, Belarusian machines are already being assembled in Pakistan and manufacturing cooperation should be continued.

Pakistan can assemble products not only for the local market but for third countries as well. “Via Pakistan you can reach the market of the Middle East and the Near East. The Chinese-Pakistani economic corridor will be built, with access to Southeast Asia and even Africa available,” said Khan Jatoi.

The Pakistani Minister for Industries and Production said that a meeting with Belarusian Healthcare Minister Vasily Zharko had taken place the day before, with cooperation in pharmaceutics discussed. “In Pakistan there are many good pharmaceutical companies, this business is well-developed. You can find partners that will come to the Belarusian market,” he added.
