GOMEL, 3 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian agricultural machines manufacturer Gomselmash is getting ready to trial the grain harvesters KZS-575 and KZS-812 in Iran this month, BelTA learned from Yuri Rafeyev, Head of the Non-CIS Sales Office at Gomselmash.
According to the source, a team of Gomselmash specialists will fly to Iran in roughly one week in order to prepare the KZS-812 harvester for the trial. The team will also test the harvester’s ability to gather in rapeseed. In line with the agreement with the Iranian side the harvester was fitted with a special rapeseed harvesting adapter from the very start. A similar scenario will be used later on for trialing the KZS-575 harvester. “We intend to get the vehicles certified and included into the list of agricultural machines, which can be sold in Iran,” noted Yuri Rafeyev.
This year Gomselmash has been working hard to penetrate agricultural machinery markets in Asia and Africa. In particular, Gomselmash signed a memorandum of cooperation with Zarai Taraqiati Bank last month. The bank will help promote Gomselmash machines in Pakistan by arranging demonstrations and other events meant to raise the awareness of potential customers about the machines. The bank will also finance local farmers, who intend to buy Belarusian harvesters. Representatives of the Agriculture Ministry of Pakistan, regional departments of the ministry from Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad are also ready to assist with promoting Belarusian agricultural machines onto the local market.
Besides, Gomselmash successfully trialed cotton harvesters in Cameroon in March. Trials of a Gomselmash grain harvester in Sudan ended several days ago. “The trials were successful. We expect a major Sudanese delegation to arrive in Gomel in June-July for the sake of signing contracts on delivering a batch of KZS-575 grain harvesters. Apart from that, negotiations on delivering cotton harvesters will be arranged,” said Yuri Rafeyev.
The Belarusian holding company Gomselmash was originally established as the Gomselmash factory in 1930. Gomselmash is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines in the CIS and Europe. The company offers self-propelled and towed forage harvesters, mower balers, grain harvesters, mounted mower shredders, potato harvesters, cotton harvesters, and beet harvesters.
