MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian manufacturer of agricultural machines Gomselmash is working on sales to African countries, BelTA learned from Gomselmash Deputy Director for Sales and Development, Director of the company’s Marketing and Advertising Center Dmitry Mulyar during the 31st international specialized expo Belagro.
According to the source, Gomselmash hits all the output and export targets. Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine account for most of the sales. The company also cooperates with Zimbabwe, with 20 machines sold there so far this year. Zimbabwe is Gomselmash’s main partner in Africa. Nigeria, Kenya, and Algeria were mentioned as other promising target markets in Africa.
According to the company’s business plan, in 2021 the company’s export growth rate is supposed to reach 110-111% as against 2020. “I think we will be able to secure the necessary level of export. Our export shipments are on the rise,” the Gomselmash representative noted.
Belagro 2021 is scheduled to take place in the exhibition center of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 1-5 June. The expo traditionally gathers not only Belarusian farmers, workers of the food industry and the processing industry but also their foreign colleagues and partners. Over 400 companies from 16 countries are taking part in this year’s expo. Representatives of diplomatic missions of African countries also visited the expo.
