MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian manufacturer of agricultural machines OAO Gomselmash intends to put efforts into penetrating the markets of Africa and Latin America, BelTA learned from Dmitry Mulyar, head of the company’s marketing department.
The executive said: “In the near future we intend to increase the pace of export shipments, primarily to Russia. We actively sell harvesters to Kazakhstan. There are several projects on the African market, in particular, in Zimbabwe. As far as Latin America is concerned, we continue working in Argentina. We’ve taken part in an expo in Brazil. We’ve sold the first few harvesters in Peru. We have two joint ventures in China. Projects in Iran are in the pipeline. North America is a medium-term goal or even a long-term one. As for Europe, there are contracts to sell products to Poland. Lithuania and Latvia are also priority development areas for us. We have harvesters designed specifically for the European market.”
Gomselmash presented a number of products during the international expo Belagro 2019, including the super harvester Palesse GS2124.
The international agribusiness expo Belagro 2019 is scheduled to take place in the trade and logistics hub Globus Park in the agrotown of Shchomyslitsa, Minsk District on 4-9 June. Taking part in the expo are over 550 companies from 29 countries, including Austria, the UK, Hungary, Germany, Denmark, Israel, India, Italy, Spain, Canada, China, Netherlands, Russia, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czechia, Switzerland, and Sweden. ZAO MinskExpo is the organizer. IFWexpo is a co-organizer. The expo has been organized with assistance and participation of the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Industry Ministry, and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
In addition to Belagro 2019 a number of international specialized expos are taking place in Minsk on 4-9 June during the Belarusian Agribusiness Week. Those are Belfarm, Belproduct, and Prodmash.Holod.Upak.
