GOMEL, 11 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Gomselmash and the Chinese company Yun Yin are discussing the possibility of setting up a joint venture in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The idea was discussed as a Gomselmash delegation visited the Chinese province Hubei, BelTA learned from Sergei Gapeyev, Deputy Director of Gomselmash’s Regional Sales Department.
According to the source, Yun Yin Company is supposed to provide technical specifications of the machines the Belarusian and Chinese companies could make together in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone where favorable conditions for the project are available. Apart from that, Yun Yin Company will send marketing information about the markets where the machines are supposed to be sold. “The Chinese side is expected to send the information in March. After studying the proposals we will be able to say when these models will be ready,” explained Sergei Gapeyev.
The possibility of designing a harvester able to harvest colza, thresh oilseeds, and chop the straws at the same time was also discussed. The harvester will be a compact one, just the kind needed in Hubei Province’s conditions where the landscape is predominantly mountainous and the fields are comparatively small. According to the specialist, this harvester may sell well not only in China but also Pakistan and India.
The agreement on concrete projects may be reached in June 2016 when the Yun Yin Company Director General is expected to visit Belarus.
Gomselmash has already established two joint ventures with China — the agricultural mechanical engineering company Harbin Dongjin Gomel and Chungking Agricultural Machinery Industry Enterprise Jungshen-Gomel. Gomselmash has been selling machines to China for over ten years.
