Belarusian food producers sign $35m contracts with Chinese partners

QINGDAO, 8 June (BelTA) - Meat Dairy Company and Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky signed food supply contracts with their Chinese partners in Qingdao on 8 June, BelTA has learned.

Meat Dairy Company inked a contract with Cofco Group to supply $30 million worth of powdered milk to China.

Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky concluded a contract with Chongqing Valosha Trading. The first consignment of poultry to be shipped to China will amount to $5 million.

The ceremony of signing the commercial contracts between the Belarusian producers and the Chinese partners was held within the framework of the visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Qingdao. The event was attended by Belarus Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky, Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei, Finance Minister Vladimir Amarin and Ambassador to China Kirill Rudy.
