MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) - Azerbaijan plans to invite Belarusian enterprises to take part in the projects to upgrade the infrastructure of the city of Sumgait. These prospects of cooperation were discussed during a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Gennady Akhramovich and Sumgait Mayor Zakir Faradzhev, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Minsitry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting the parties discussed the ways of enhancing cooperation between Sumgait and its Belarusian sister-city of Mogilev.

"The parties reaffirmed their mutual willingness to intensify interregional cooperation," the press service noted.
