MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) – The State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus is ready to implement joint projects together with Indonesia with a view to developing and making modern defense products, BelTA learned from Vladimir Lavrenyuk, spokesman of the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus.
A military delegation of Indonesia led by Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu met with top officials of the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus on 28 April. The sides sketched out guidelines for the sake of expanding interaction in a number of avenues in the near future. The Belarusian side noted they were ready to consider any cooperation options, including export and import operations as well as the implementation of joint projects for the sake of developing and making modern defense products. Transfer of technologies and sales to countries in the Asian Pacific region are possible.
For the sake of dynamic advancement of cooperation the sides suggest using the full potential of the Belarusian-Indonesian commission on military and technical cooperation.
While in Belarus the Indonesian delegation also intends to visit a number of enterprises run by the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus. Members of the delegation intend to get familiar with how military products are manufactured and how military hardware maintenance and repair services are provided.
