MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – A Belarusian parliamentary delegation met with Czech Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Jiri Koliba during a visit to the Czech Republic, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.
“During the meeting the parties discussed the issues regarding the holding of the meeting of the Belarusian-Czech intergovernmental mixed commission for economic, industrial and technological cooperation. It will be held in Minsk in May this year,” the press service informed.
The delegation also visited the town of Usti nad Labem and met with head of Economic Chamber in Usti nad Labem Frantisek Jochman. He reiterated that the Czech Republic is ready to develop investment cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis. The head of the Belarusian delegation, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Viktor Guminsky stated that Belarus and the Czech Republic have extensive experience of cooperation in trade, economic and investment. Promoting dialogue between businessmen lays a good foundation for long-term business partnerships between the two countries.
The Belarusian delegation briefed the Czech companies on investment projects and proposed to create enterprises in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone.
Viktor Guminsky also met with hetman of the Usti nad Labem Region Oldrich Bubenicek. The parties discussed the cooperation between the regions of Belarus and the Czech Republic, in particular, between Mogilev Oblast and Usti nad Labem Region.
The Belarusian parliamentary delegation had a working meeting with representatives of the business community in Prague. It was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Vojtech Filip and leader of the inter-parliamentary friendship group “Czechia-Belarus” Zuzka Bebarova-Rujbrova. The parties discussed the participation of Czech companies in the infrastructure projects in Belarus.
