MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – Belarusian companies became winners of the prestigious EuropaProperty Awards. The EuropaProperty NEE Real Estate Awards Gala & Forum were held for the first time in March of this year
The contest was held across more than ten nominations covering commercial real estate in North Eastern Europe. Dana Holdings shone the brightest picking up three awards. The developer received awards for Developer of the Year, Overall Company of the Year and also Concept & Design Project of the Year for their Dana Mall project in Minsk. In 2014 the Dana Mall project won the award for the best shopping center concept in Eastern Europe at MAPIC in Cannes.
Overall Retailer of the Year and Hypermarket/Big Box Retailer went to Euroopt. Retailer of the Year awards were given to retailers active throughout the region based on their market innovation, expansion, contribution to the market, market share, concept and design, and commercial success.
Investor of the Year was awarded to the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Svitland Development’s Clever Park won two prominent project prizes, Office Development of the Year and Overall Project of the Year. Zamok Shopping Center by Tabak-Investment walked away with the Retail Development of the Year prize.
The winners from among the nominees were selected by an independent jury composed of experienced professionals representing all sectors of the commercial real estate and retail business in the region. The voting process was supervised by Ernst&Young.
The EuropaProperty NEE Real Estate Awards Gala & Forum is the only event of its kind covering the North Eastern European region with a focus on Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, and Russia including Kaliningrad Oblast. This year, the forum was attended by 150 companies, investors, developers, retailers and other players of the real estate market from the countries of North Eastern Europe (including Belarus) and also the United Kingdom, Poland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Russia. Partner of the event was the National Agency of Investment and Privatization of Belarus. One of the most active organizers of the forum was Dana Holdings.
