MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) -  The Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom has signed a cooperation agreement with the Belarusian logistics company Beltamozhservic, BelTA has learned.

"The agreement will allow us to simplify logistics, reduce product costs and tap into new markets. China is our main target market. Today we have more than doubled the volume of exports to that country," said Anatoly Buben, chairman of Belgospishcheprom.

Currently Belgospishcheprom is promoting sugar in the Chinese market. "We have supplied 20,000 tonnes of sugar to the Chinese market. Next year we are planning to deliver 50,000 tonnes. This will be difficult to achieve without the help and logistics services of Beltamozhservic," the head of the concern said.

In addition to sugar, the company exports beetroot pulp, rapeseed oil, alcohol, and confectionery to China.

Beltamozhservic is already working on the first deliveries in accordance with the signed agreement, the company’s head Vadim Babarikin said. “Today, the most important thing for a client is to have a full range of door-to-door services. The fewer intermediaries there are, the more interesting it is for any company to work with our products," Vadim Babarikin said. Beltamozhservic escorts products along the whole route. "We track cargo movement, and give tacking information at any time," he added.

Belgospishcheprom and Beltamozhservic will work together on sending  container trains to China. "In addition to railway we provide sea, land, air transportation logistics services. Today we signed a comprehensive agreement to forward goods anywhere in the world. The priorities are the People's Republic of China and also Europe," he explained.

Beltamozhservic’s head noted that the supply economy is largely determined by smart logistics. "When we assemble a container train, we receive cooperation offers from state-owned companies of the People's Republic of China. As these companies receive subsidies, it is important for them to assemble trains on a regular basis. Respectively, we and Belgospishcheprom have already received concrete attractive offers," Vadim Babarikin added.

In H1 2020, Beltamozhservic sent 11 container trains (522 containers) to China via Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. The total volume of delivered products will be 12,000 tonnes. Unloading points in China are Taiyuan, Changsha, Chisumu. It is planned to send up to four container trains per month in the future.
