MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarus is taking part in the food exhibitions in Dubai, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
"On the first day of the Belarus - The Taste of Nature exposition at the Yummex Middle East international exhibition of sweets and snacks and The Speciality Food Festival, which opened in Dubai on November 7, Belarusian enterprises signed agreements of intent and commercial contracts with business partners from the Middle East and Africa. Kommunarka Confectionery signed a multi-year contract with a company from South Africa to supply confectionery products to the market of that country and the Persian Gulf states. Minsk Margarine Plant reached an agreement with a company from the UAE to supply rapeseed oil," Belinterexpo said.
The exposition features Belarus’ major producers. Thus, Babushkina Krynka dairy is displaying products with an extended shelf life, which is especially important for this region: powdered milk and dry milk whey with a shelf life of 24 months, milk with a shelf life of nine months.
The companies affiliated with the Belgospischeprom food industry concern are featured at the exposition too. Minsk Margarine Plant, the largest enterprise of the fat-and-oil industry, has brought rapeseed oil. Belarus’ major producer marmalade products Krasny Pischevik is showing an innovative product – a cream-honey with various fillings: cranberry, blueberry, strawberry, cherry, lemon and ginger. A wide range of confectionery products is displayed by Belarus’ major confectionery factories Spartak, Slodych, Kommunarka, Confa, Krasny Mozyryanin.
The products presented at the exhibitions have international ISO certificates of conformity and also Halal certificates.
"Belarus is a traditional participant of food exhibitions in the UAE. The country was represented by 25 food industry enterprises at the Gulfood exhibition in Dubai in February 2021. They showcased meat and dairy products, poultry and egg products, groceries and confectionery. As a result, they concluded contracts worth $7 million with partners from 14 countries," Belinterexpo noted.
The organizer of the Belarus - The Taste of Nature exposition of Belarusian manufacturers is the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exposition has been put together with the support of the Embassy of Belarus in the United Arab Emirates.
