MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) - Africa's Prime Food, Hospitality & Agriculture Expo FoodAgro in Nairobi was a good opportunity for Belarusian exhibitors to network and forge new connections with companies and organizations of Kenya, BelTA learned from the National Marketing Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which acted as the organizer of the Belarus national exposition.
Products presented under the Made in Belarus brand received accolades at the expo. A memorandum of understanding was signed between between AFTRADE DMCC, the official representative of Lidagroprommash, Bobruiskagromash, Gomselmash, Lidselmash and MAZ in Kenya, and Pewin Motors. The parties reached an agreement on deliveries of Belarusian agricultural machines (tractors, farm machines and equipment, accessories).
Lidselmash and Peter Wanjohi Company made an arrangement to build grain processing complexes in Kenya, Uganda and other countries in the region. The Belarusian food industry concern Belgospishcheprom will make trial shipments of sunflower oil and canned beer.
“Agreements were reached with other foreign partners to sign bilateral agreements. The exhibition and business meetings have been a good opportunity to assess the interest of African business in cooperation with Belarusian enterprises, to map out further ways of developing bilateral relations,” National Marketing Center said.
FoodAgro is part of Kenya International Trade Exhibition (KITE), the biggest exhibition event in East Africa. This year the exhibition was held for the 22nd time.
