MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – A delegation of the Belarusian Industry Ministry headed by Deputy Minister Aleksandr Yefimov attended the opening of the Metalloobrabotka 2023, the 23rd international specialized exhibition for equipment, instruments and tools for the metalworking industry, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry.
Aleksandr Yefimov addressed the plenary session of the forum "Priority areas for the development of the metalworking industry” and outlined the prospects for the development of the industry in Belarus. He stressed that the Industry Ministry assigns a special role to this industry and is focused on increasing technological independence of the country's metalworking industry.
Belarus’ national exposition in the Russian Expocentre features the latest developments in the field of machine tool building from 15 enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry.
Within the framework of the forum, the heads of Belarusian enterprises will get acquainted with the novelties of the market, negotiate the supply of metalworking products, spare parts, service and engineering services, and take part in the events of the business program.
Metalloobrabotka is the largest in Russia and the CIS trade show of global machine tool industry and state-of-the-art metalworking technology. It brings together leading manufacturers, suppliers and dealers from around the world since 1984.
According to the organizers, in 2023 the exhibition breaks records: the number of participants exceeds last year's. The number of exhibits is about 1,000 from Russia, Belarus, Germany, India, Spain, Italy, China, the Republic of Korea, Serbia, Slovakia, and Turkey. The exhibition is organized by Expocentre with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, under the patronage of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
