Belarusian commodity exchange, Russian Grain Union to sign partnership agreement

MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) intends to sign a partnership agreement with the Russian Grain Union, BUCE spokesman Roman Yaniv told BelTA.

Such an arrangement was reached during a meeting between acting head of the BUCE Office in the Russian Federation Oleg Yakubovich and President of the Russian Grain Union Arkady Zlochevsky.

“Thanks to the agreement the parties will be able to pool efforts to attract large Russian grain merchants to the BUCE, promptly address the issues such as training of traders, verification of the reliability of counterparties, product quality control, logistical arrangements,” Roman Yaniv noted.

The parties also discussed the current trends in the stock grain market of Belarus and the opportunities for Russian companies to sell products to Belarusian enterprises. The parties exchanged views on the best format for cooperation and agreed on the algorithm of joint action in the near term.

The Russian Grain Union is one of the largest associations in the agricultural sector in Russia. It brings together about 400 businesses associated with the production, storage and processing of grain.
