Belarusian businessman suggests issuing cryptobonds

MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Cryptobonds can be issued in Belarus. The proposal was put forward by Igor Mamonenko, Director General of ZAO BelHard Group, Vice President of the Minsk City Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, during the 19th Assembly of Business Circles on 1 March, BelTA has learned.

“We have discussed it with the central bank and intend to discuss it with the Finance Ministry,” explained the businessman. In his opinion, cryptocurrency technologies allow floating cryptobonds and getting a good effect for the economy.

Belarusian Deputy Finance Minister Dmitry Kiyko, who was present during the 19th Assembly of Business Circles, told media that the Finance Ministry had not received any official proposals concerning cryptobonds yet. “There is a great deal of questions. They should be processed,” he said.
