MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) – The second session of the Belarusian-Austrian Business Council took place in Vienna. Participants of the session discussed framework conditions of doing business in Belarus, promising spheres of cooperation, effectiveness of jointly implemented projects and some other topics, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
Austrian businessmen were informed about terms of financing and insuring investment projects, the establishment of daughter enterprises in Belarus, investment operations in free economic zones, the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, the Hi-Tech Park as well as small and medium towns.
A business matchmaking session involving representatives of Belarusian and Austrian business communities took place.
The Belarusian side during the session of the Council was headed by Director General of the Minsk office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexander Fedorchuk. The Belarusian delegation included representatives of Belarusian Steel Works (BMZ), Priorbank, the free economic zone Vitebsk, the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, and a number of other companies and organizations. Representatives of over 30 Austrian companies took part in the session of the Council.
Ambassador of Belarus to Austria Valery Voronetsky and President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Christoph Leitl also took part in the event.
