MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian national fuel and natural gas distribution industrial group Beltopgaz will cooperate with the Vietnam Coconut Association in order to make bio fertilizers, Beltopgaz’s press service told BelTA.
A business program was organized as part of Belarus’ collective exposition during the recent Vietnam Expo. It included a Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum, B2B meetings and negotiations. Beltopgaz representatives held negotiations with the management of the Vietnam Coconut Association and signed a memorandum of cooperation as a result.
According to the Beltopgaz press service, the Vietnam Coconut Association will coordinate research into bioorganic fertilizers based on Belarusian peat. The fertilizers are supposed to improve the yield and quality of coconuts from coconut palms across Vietnam and will also help develop the market for such bio fertilizers. Apart from that, the Vietnam Coconut Association will coordinate actions with Beltopgaz to organize seminars on introducing bioorganic fertilizers based on Belarusian peat for coconut farming in Vietnam for the sake of finding customers. Beltopgaz will have to work out an optimal recipe for the peat substrate for coconut farming.
Apart from that, the parties came to terms on test deliveries of Belarusian peat substrates to Vietnam. The substrates will be used to grow 500 trees and carry out scientific research in order to control the speed of growth and the quality of fruit. Coconut tree saplings will be delivered to Belarus for the sake of working out the optimal substrate recipe.
Southeast Asia’s leading international multisectoral expo took place in Ho Chi Minh City on 7-9 December with assistance of the Industry and Trade Ministry and the Planning and Investment Ministry of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. Over 520 companies from 20 countries took part in the expo. Over 12,000 people visited the expo. Samples of professional peat substrates of Belarusian make as well as their components were showcased at Beltopgaz’s stand with assistance of the peat plants Vitebsktorf of the Vitebskoblgaz enterprise, OAO Glinka Peat Enterprise, and OAO Turshovka.
