ISLAMABAD, 5 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian tire maker Belshina will sell €15 million worth of merchandise to a Pakistani company. The relevant contract was signed during a business forum in Pakistan on 4 October, BelTA has learned.
According to Belshina Director General Alexei Yakovlev, the contract spans a period of four years and provides for selling about €15 million worth of tires.
The establishment of a joint venture can become another serious avenue of cooperation of the Belarusian company with Pakistani companies.
“We are working on implementing a joint project with Pakistan’s only tire manufacturer. We intend to use the Pakistani company’s premises to start making tires under the Belshina brand. We will begin with making tires for agricultural machines but we also intend to consider the production of solid metal cord truck tires, tires for construction machines and cars,” said the Belshina Director General.
