MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Prospects of the Belarusian company Belorusneft taking part in new projects were discussed during talks with representatives of the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
According to the source, Ambassador of Belarus Igor Poluyan and Belorusneft Director General Alexander Lyakhov met with Director of the North America and Europe Department of the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Erick Medina and Head of the Bilateral and Multilateral Relations Office Gonzalo Gonzalez. Close attention was paid to Belorusneft’s operation in Ecuador, prospects of the Belarusian company’s taking part in new projects for oil prospecting and extracting in Ecuador.
The sides also discussed topical aspects of Belarus-Ecuador relations, including the invigoration of cooperation in leading international organizations, the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, the expansion of manufacturing cooperation.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
