MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - The Belarusian oil industry research institute BelNIPIneft (Gomel) and the Russian company EuroChem are mulling over cooperation prospects, BelTA learned from the press service of Belorusneft after the recent visit of the representatives of the Russian company to the Belarusian enterprise.
Participants of the meeting discussed promising avenues of joint work. For example, Belarusian specialists can provide services in geological exploration, prospecting and development of oil fields, the representatives of the association explained. The sides are also mulling over the participation of Belarusian specialists in the program of geological and technical events aimed at raising the recovery of hydrocarbon reserves for the Russian side.
During the visit to Belorusneft the experts of EuroChem were made familiar with the equipment and technologies of the BelNIPIneft research and engineering center. Russian specialists also visited a number of branches, including the department of oilfield geophysics and exploration seismology.
The Belarusian oil industry research institute was founded in 1967. It was incorporated into Belorusneft in 1991. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction.
OAO Mineral and Chemical Company EuroChem is a large producer of mineral fertilizers. It comprises about ten enterprises.
