Belarusian Bellesbumprom’s exports up by 48.2% in 2021

MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) - Enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom increased exports by 48.2%, Chairman of Bellesbumprom Mikhail Kasko said during a board meeting, BelTA has learned.

In 2021, Bellesbumprom met all the social and economic development targets. "The export surged by 48.2%," said Mikhail Kasko. In value terms, export approached $1 billion.

In 2021 the industrial output index year amounted to 110.7%, above the target of 106.1%.

Import-substituting products are made by 26 enterprises across 50 commodity groups, including cellulose, chipboard, fiberboard (MDF), plywood, uncoated paper and cardboard, corrugated cardboard and boxes from it, paper bags, non-corrugated cardboard, newsprint and tissue paper, and related products. In 2021, Bellesbumprom increased the output of import-substituting products by 63% in 2021 over 2020.
