MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ has won a tender to supply 96 haul trucks to India, Belarus Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik told journalists on 27 August, BelTA has learned.
“Yesterday we received good news: we won a tender, leaving behind our business rivals from Japan and the USA. We will export 96 haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 220 tonnes,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.
According to him, the products will be supplied in the course of two years. BelAZ will ship to India 12 haul trucks in 2020 and the rest in 2021. The contract is worth over $300 million.
BelAZ is currently completing another big contract to deliver 77 136-tonne haul trucks to India. As many as 56 trucks have already been shipped. BelAZ snatched this order from the U.S. company Caterpillar.
