MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ plans to supply some 200 haulers to Uzbekistan in 2020-2023, BelAZ Director General Piotr Parkhomchik told the media on 13 June, BelTA has learned.
In his words, supplies for 2020-2023 were discussed with Uzbekistan on 12 June. “Nearly 200 heavy haulers will be shipped to that country,” he said.
Under the current agreements, BelAZ is to supply 260 heavy haulers to Uzbekistan in 2017-2018. The agreements have already been met by 70%. Last year BelAZ shipped 106 vehicles and 64 more in January-May 2018.
On 13 June, Minsk played host to a roundtable with the participation of businessmen of Belarus and Uzbekistan. According to Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich, Belarusian companies have been successfully working on the market of Uzbekistan, including as part of joint companies. In his words, a number of promising projects have been recently launched. Among them are joint ventures and deliveries of Amkodor vehicle sets.
The roundtable was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus and Uzbekistan. The meeting welcomed representatives of 15 Uzbek companies and 130 Belarusian businessmen.
