NESVIZH, 21 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor will ship $500,000 worth of machines to Egypt by the end of the year, BelTA learned from Chairman of the Board of Directors of Egyptian Company for Agriculture and Rural Development (ECARD) Mustafa Hadhod during an exhibition of Amkodor’s agricultural machines in Nesvizh District, Minsk Oblast on 21 September. ECARD is Amkodor’s official representative in Egypt.
Mustafa Hadhod said: “We’ve signed a contract previously. It is already being executed. A letter of credit for the delivery of the first seven machines worth $500,000 has been opened. Another contract for the delivery of machines worth at least $500,000 till the end of the year is supposed to be signed this week.”
In his words, the Egyptian market is interested in virtually all the vehicles and machines Amkodor makes. In particular, there is a strong interest in agricultural machines, road construction and maintenance machines, and civil engineering industry machines. “We are interested in buying grain-drying complexes for various kinds of grain, including corn,” added Mustafa Hadhod.
The representative of the Egyptian company and other visitors went on a tour of the exhibition featuring Amkodor vehicles for agriculture. Visitors could see grain cleaning and drying machines at work as well as soil cultivation and forage harvesting machines. During the presentation agriculture specialists were also made familiar with new technologies used to make import-substituting agricultural machines and discussed applications of modern Belarus-made machines in Belarusian agriculture.
