Photo from the site of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in UfaMINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor and the government of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan have signed an agreement on introducing and developing modern automated forest harvesting technologies in the republic, BelTA learned from the Amkodor website.

The document was signed during the first interregional forum on developing Bashkortostan’s northeast. Amkodor representatives took part in the forum.

Representatives of the Belarusian private sector met with Bashkortostan Minister for Industry and Innovation Policy Aleksei Karpukhin and Bashkortostan Forestry Minister Marat Sharafutdinov on the sidelines of the forum. The sides discussed the main directions of cooperation in the future.

According to Amkodor representatives, the industrial group started designing machines for the forestry industry in 2004. Within a short period of time on the scale of the global mechanical engineering industry the Belarusian company mastered the batch production of 17 modern models of timber harvesters. Another four models are being trialed. All of them allow using state-of-the-art technology in forestry industry. Amkodor has made over 800 timber harvesters so far.

All the stages of forestry machinery manufacturing are certified for compliance with the world standards STB ISO 9001-2009 and DIN EN ISO 9001-2008.

Amkodor has been the third largest seller of forestry machines in Russia since 2014 behind John Deer and Ponsse and ahead of Komatsu.
