According to the source, it is the most popular model and can carry up to 14 tonnes or 16m3 of timber per run. Thanks to hydromechanical transmission it can travel over considerable distances on its own power at speeds of up to 28kmph.

The enterprise OOO Amkodor-Onego was registered on 31 August 2018. The agreement with the Karelia government on setting up an integrated factory to make forest harvesting machines was signed in December 2018. The production floor of the Onego tractor plant was acquired to set up the enterprise in March 2019.

The special investment contract is designed to last for ten years. It provides for a number of tax reliefs and preferences. Plans have been made to invest RUB14 billion in reconstructing and equipping Amkodor-Onego. It will allow creating a cutting-edge enterprise with a high level of automation and robotization of manufacturing processes at premises of one of Russia’s oldest plants.

The project provides for making at least 1,000 vehicles per annum and launching the production of more than ten models of modern forest harvesting machines. An engineering and technology center will be established as well as an aftersales service center. Initially the enterprise will make vehicles by assembling SKD kits. The enterprise is supposed to reach the designed output capacity by 2030.

Later on Amkodor-Onego intends to start making new harvester models Amkodor FH3081 and heavy forwarder models Amkodor FF1681. The models are compliant with international standards, boast a modern style and improved reliability, high performance and comfortable working conditions for the driver. Within several years the enterprise is supposed to switch from SKD assembly to a complete production cycle starting with metal cutting and ending with machine painting.
