MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Aleksandr Konyuk visited Armavir Oblast, BelTA has learned.
During the trip the ambassador met with Armavir Oblast Governor Edvard Ovannisyan and Armavir Oblast Prosecutor Sargis Mnatsakanyan. The negotiations touched upon the advancement of interregional cooperation, ways to step up trade and economic cooperation, including sales of Belarusian agricultural machines and vehicles to this region and sales of fruits and vegetables from Armavir Oblast to Belarus.
The sides agreed it is important to exchange visits of delegations of Gomel Oblast and Armavir Oblast. Participation in events organized by the administrations of the two regions was mentioned.
Cooperation in law enforcement was discussed as Aleksandr Konyuk met with Sargis Mnatsakanyan. A conference involving Armavir Oblast prosecution service personnel was arranged. The ambassador talked about the Republic of Belarus, its industrial, trade, and tourism potential.
