Belarusian ambassador to China, CIDCA chairman discuss joint infrastructure projects

MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People’s Republic of China Yuri Senko met with Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Luo Zhaohui, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in Beijing told BelTA.

Yuri Senko and Luo Zhaohui discussed current and promising avenues of cooperation as well as the projects being implemented in Belarus. Close attention was paid to the role the Republic of Belarus plays in realizing the Belt and Road initiative, including in the capacity of an important transport hub on the road between China and Europe.

Apart from that, the development of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone was discussed as well as other significant joint social projects and infrastructure ones.

The China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) was established in April 2018 and reports directly to the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. The agency’s efforts are primarily aimed at coordinating policy with regard to Chinese aid programs, including within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative.
