MOSCOW, 10 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi met with Director General of the Russian state nuclear industry corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev, the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission told BelTA.
Dmitry Krutoi and Alexey Likhachev discussed the main avenues of Belarus’ cooperation with Rosatom as well as plans concerning the joint events, which are supposed to take place in bilateral relations and international relations soon.
The parties believe that the realization of outlined projects within the framework of the intergovernmental memorandum signed at the beginning of the year with a view to advancing strategic cooperation in peaceful uses of atomic energy and related high technologies looks highly promising.
Alexey Likhachev spoke highly of the level and of the quality of interaction between Rosatom and Belarus. He mentioned significant potential in the joint work.
The Rosatom head also expressed interest in increasing the level of Belarus’ participation as an honorary participant in the international forum Atomexpo 2025, which is timed to the industry’s 80th anniversary.
In turn, Dmitry Krutoi drew attention to the need to concentrate efforts for the sake of enabling practical conditions in research and applied R&D in the field of nuclear technologies.
