MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Republic of Korea Andrei Chernetsky met with the leadership of the Korea Import Association (KOIMA) at the headquarters of this organization in Seoul on 13 April, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Seoul.
The parties discussed promising areas for strengthening Belarusian-Korean bilateral cooperation in the light industry, promotion of Belarusian agricultural products to the Korean market. An agreement was also reached to advance bilateral contacts between the business circles of the two states.
The meeting also touched upon the Korea Import Fair which is held annually under the auspices of KOIMA.
The Korea Importers Association was established in 1970 under the authorization of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Currently, the organization has about 8,000 members. More than 50,000 suppliers to the Korean market in 100 countries, including Belarus, are partners of KOIMA.
