MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian air carrier Belavia intends to reduce prices for tickets, BelTA learned from Anatoly Gusarov, Belavia Director General, during the presentation of an Embraer 175 aircraft, which arrived in Belarus from Brazil, on 19 April.
According to the Belavia CEO, aircraft of the Embraer 175 variety are perfect for Belavia’s plans to further expand its flight network and reduce the prime cost of flights. This type of aircraft boasts excellent fuel economy. “These aircraft save 6% of the fuel thanks to a new shape of the wings and thanks to new navigation system instruments. There are plans to further reduce the cost of air tickets. We reduced prices by 10% in 2017 and will continue doing so this year depending on many factors. Belavia’s pricing policy and competition on the market leave no other options,” said Anatoly Gusarov.
The CEO also said that the new aircraft will be used virtually across the entire flight network of the Belarusian air carrier. For instance, Belavia will launch air service to Rostov-on-Don and Kazan in a week.
