MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – Belarusbank and Eximbank of Slovakia (Eximbanka SR) intend to expand spheres of cooperation, the press service of the Belarusian bank told BelTA.
Long-term business cooperation between the Belarusian and Slovak banks vigorously develops in credit, finance, and insurance. Ways to further bolster the business contacts were discussed as top officials of Belarusbank met with Slovak partners in Minsk this week.
Belarusbank Acting Chairman of the Board Alexander Polivko said: “Our bank offers the entire range of financial services. We are open to cooperation and are ready to discuss any ideas and initiatives, which may be useful and may benefit both Belarus and Slovakia. We are interested in diversifying business contacts.”
In his words, Belarusbank is interested in getting interbank loans against Eximbank of Slovakia’s insurance coverage and in direct financing from Slovak partners, including trade financing.
The sides discussed prospects of cooperation in the credit and investment sphere, cooperation with regard to small and medium business, and expressed readiness to work out real projects for the near future.
The many years of fruitful bilateral cooperation have resulted in the implementation of 17 projects worth a total of €33 million against the insurance coverage of Eximbank of Slovakia in such spheres as the production sector, agriculture, and food industry. This is not the limit, the Belarusbank press service stressed.
