MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – The trade between Belarus and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia, Russia) almost doubled in January-September 2023, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
Deputy Economy Minister Alesia Abramenko held a working meeting with Permanent Representative of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to the President of the Russian Federation - First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Yakutia Andrei Fedotov at the Republic of Sakha pavilion at VDNKh (Moscow).
“Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and the Republic of Sakha is gaining momentum. Trade in January-September 2023 amounted to $71.4 million, or 194.5% to the same period of 2022. Exports of Belarusian goods and services made up $71.3 million, or 194.4%. Imports grew more than 5.4 times. We still have significant untapped potential in various areas,” Alesia Abramenko said.
The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation. They discussed the organization of meetings to exchange experience in forestry and the organization of hunting farms, production of unmanned aerial vehicles, participation of Belarusian companies in the development of dairy farms, and many more.
An agreement was reached to hold a joint meeting of the working group in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) next year.
