MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – A video link will connect Minsk and the World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C. on 7 April, spokesperson for the State Property Committee of Belarus Yelena Kostyukova told BelTA.
“Ideas and plans regarding the promotion of real estate appraisal by mass methods and tax system reforms in Belarus will be presented to the international financial organization. Mass appraisal of all types of real property in Belarus has been initiated by the National Cadastral Agency of the State Property Committee,” Yelena Kostyukova said.
On part of Belarus, partaking in the video conference will be representatives of the State Property Committee, the Taxes and Duties Ministry, and the Finance Ministry.
“The pilot project launched in January 2015 on the territory of Sovetsky District of Minsk and Kobrin District of Brest Oblast will help us explore the details of mass appraisal techniques and get an idea about the cost of this work,” Yelena Kostyukova pointed out. She added that during the video conference, World Bank representatives will be briefed about the progress of the pilot project and its first results. The participants will also discuss a possible visit of a WB delegation to Minsk to attend the final presentation of the project scheduled for 23-27 May.
