MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Andrei Molchan took part in the Belarusian-Venezuelan negotiations on industrial cooperation held via a video link, BelTA learned the Belarusian Embassy in Caracas.
On behalf of Venezuela, the event was attended by Vice President of Venezuela - Minister of Planning Ricardo Menendez, Minister of Industry Hipolito Abreu, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (European Affairs) Franklin Ramirez Araque, president of the Corsoauto auto corporation Carlos Dos Santos. On behalf of Belarus the meeting was attended by Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik, the heads of the MTZ and MAZ mechanical engineering companies and government officials.
The participants to the meeting had a thorough exchange of views on the prospects for the facilities to assemble Belarusian tractors and trucks in Venezuela.
"The parties agreed on further steps to develop cooperation in this avenue," the embassy said.
