MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) - Belarus and Uzbekistan have been developing cooperation in electronic procurement, Roman Yaniv, the spokesman for the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), told BelTA.

On 14 May BUTB held the first webinar on public procurement in Belarus for specialists of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX). The event was organized in accordance with the strategic partnership agreement signed by the exchanges in September 2018.

The webinar focused on such topics as the structure and specifics of the Belarusian public procurement system, the regulatory framework, the interaction of electronic trading platforms on public procurement with the State Information and Analytical System, and the possibility of participation of foreign suppliers of goods (works, services) in procurement procedures. Particular attention was paid to electronic procurement at the trading platform www.zakupki.butb.by. The BUCE specialists gave a detailed description of the algorithm of actions of the participant and the customer, the purchase procedure, and touted the key advantages of the trading platform.

“The webinar is expected to contribute to the increased cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan in the field of electronic procurement and to serve as a guide for action for Uzbek companies planning to work in the Belarusian market,” Roman Yaniv said.
