MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Ukraine will cooperate in nuclear energy. The relevant agreement was signed following the session of the Belarusian-Ukrainian working group on energy cooperation in the state-run energy company Gomelenergo, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian national electric company Belenergo.
The sides considered topical matters of Belarus-Ukraine energy cooperation. As a result of the negotiations, they reached agreements on mutual emergency assistance related to the Belarusian and Ukrainian energy systems.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Energy Minister Vadim Zakrevsky, the Ukrainian one by Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry for European Integration Natalia Boiko.
