MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Ukraine will review offers on the mutual supplies of electric power. The agreement was reached as a result of the consultations between the Belarusian Energy Ministry, the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry and Ukraine’s electric companies in Kiev, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry.
“The sides discussed the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukrainian and Belarusian electric companies and service providers, confirmed their readiness to promptly consider the offers on the mutual supplies of electric power, provide mutual assistance in emergencies, and work on new avenues of collaboration,” the press service noted.
The Belarusian-Ukrainian commission for trade and economic cooperation also discussed ways of interaction between the energy ministries during a session in Kiev. The offers brought forward by the ministries will be submitted for consideration to the heads of state during the official visit of the Belarus president to Ukraine.
