MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – Ambassador of Belarus to Ethiopia with concurrent accreditation to Uganda Dmitry Kuptel paid a visit to Uganda to discuss the deliveries of Belarus-made vehicles and equipment to this country and establishment of joint ventures, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian diplomat met with representatives of the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives of Uganda. “The parties discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation, including the organization of deliveries of Belarus-made tractors within the framework of Uganda’s agricultural mechanization program, and also the organization of joint events in 2017,” the press service said.
Dmitry Kuptel met with Olive Kigongo, President of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The parties considered prospects for the cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries and the exchange of visits of business delegations.
The meeting with representatives of the Uganda Development Corporation discussed matters related to the establishment of joint ventures to assemble Belarusian vehicles in the African country.
