MINSK, 15 April (BelTA) – Belarus and the United Arab Emirates intend to promote cooperation in the area of banking oversight. These matters were discussed at the meeting of Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov and UAE Economy Minister Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori in Dubai on 15 April, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The sides discussed progress in implementing the agreements that were reached as a result of the visit of the UAE delegation led by the Economy Minister to Belarus in February 2015. Further steps were outlined to advance cooperation in banking oversight, high technologies, stock exchange, commodity exchange, and cooperation between insurance agencies of the two countries. The sides exchanged views on prospects of signing the relevant documents.

Apart from that, the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al Raisi in Abu Dhabi on 15 April. The sides talked over matters concerning the expansion of Belarus-UAE relations.
