MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – Belarus and the United Arab Emirates plan to develop cooperation in energy saving and biotechnology, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.
The State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus and the Education Ministry of the United Arab Emirates signed a memorandum on cooperation and joint work in Minsk on 16 December. The document was signed by Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee Alexander Shumilin and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the UAE Anwar Mohammed Gargash. “In accordance with the document, the sides plan to cooperate in a number of promising fields, including information and telecom technologies, rational environmental management, transport and space systems, energy efficiency, biotechnology, high-tech medicine, distant Earth sensing,” the press release of the press service reads.
The State Science and Technology Committee also reminded that Dubai will host the 42nd international healthcare expo ArabHealth from 30 January till 2 February, and the World Expo in 2020. Belarus’ national exposition at these expos will be prepared and organized by the State Science and Technology Committee.
