MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) - The Economy Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates have held online technical consultations to discuss the possibility of concluding an agreement on free trade in services and investment, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.
“Agreements on mutual liberalization of access to services markets and parameters of investment activities may become an additional tool for enhancing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as contribute to the synergistic effect of liberalization of trade in goods through the EAEU-UAE,” the press service said.
As BelTA reported earlier, a decision was taken at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Bishkek on 9 December to start negotiations with the UAE on an agreement on free trade in goods.
