Belarus, Turkmenistan to develop cooperation in personnel training

MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – Belarus and Turkmenistan will build up cooperation in personnel training, Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov told media after his meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 11 May, BelTA has learned.

The talks resulted in an agreement to expand the forms and areas of cooperation in scientific and educational sectors. According to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan views Belarus as one of its major partners in the training of personnel. The two countries will gradually step up cooperation in this field.

The two states attach special attention to humanitarian cooperation. “We will support the aspiration of the people to develop closer interaction, learn more about the rich cultural and historical heritage of the two countries. We will create conditions for cooperation between cultural and art figures,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed.

Summarizing the results of his visit to Belarus, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the parties once again demonstrated their commitment to close and multipronged cooperation.
