MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Turkey will expand cooperation in the area of entrepreneurship. This matter was discussed in a meeting between Belarus’ Deputy Economy Minister Irina Kostevich and President of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) Recep Ozcevik, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
The parties discussed the main areas of Belarusian-Turkish cooperation in the field of small and medium-sized business. The Turkish side was briefed on the business conditions in Belarus, investment climate, financial support to small business, and the activity of the business support infrastructure subjects.
During the 2nd session of the joint Belarusian-Turkish working group on development and support of small and medium-sized business the parties agreed to promote effective cooperation between the two countries.
The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) was established in 1990. It is the only public institution in Turkey for development and support of small and medium-sized business. The organization has the status of a legal entity, is independent, and interacts with the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technologies of Turkey.
