MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Belarus is hosting a Turkish governmental delegation consisting of high-ranking representatives of the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA). The main goal of the visit is to discuss the draft bilateral agreement on free trade in services, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

Opening the first of the meetings, Marina Yezhova, the head of the Main Department of Economic Integration at the Economy Ministry, recalled that this is the third round of negotiations between Belarus and Turkey. "During the first and second rounds, as well as during the inter-sessional meetings, we decided on the approximate structure of the document, found options for mutually beneficial solutions to complex issues. It is important that the discussion is held in a constructive manner with a mutual focus on achieving the final result," she stressed.

According to expert estimates, the agreement on free trade in services with Turkey will enable Belarus to increase export of services by 3.8%. The largest growth is expected across such sectors as other business services (4.9 times), air transport services (1.7 times), and communications (8.6%).
