The documents were signed by Belarusian Deputy Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Sergei Khrushchev and Turkish Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Veysel Eroglu.
The declaration of intent to cooperate in the sphere of water resources provides for cooperation in studying the influence of climate change on water resources, cooperation in the development and operating of water monitoring systems, water quality management systems, and use of the latest water purification technologies.
In line with the declaration of intent to cooperate in the sphere of meteorology Belarus and Turkey will work together in such areas as satellite and radio location meteorology, numeric weather forecasts, installation, maintenance, and operation of weather observation systems.
The implementation of these documents will allow studying Turkey’s experience for the sake of using the relevant cutting-edge technology and knowledge in Belarus.
The declarations were signed during the ninth session of the Belarusian-Turkish intergovernmental commission for economic affairs.
